How to Choose the Right Size Bed for Your Cat or Dog
Share
A comfy bed only works if your pet actually likes it. Choosing the right size is the first step, and it only takes a minute.
Step 1: Watch how your pet sleeps
Some pets curl up in a tight ball, while others stretch out fully. Notice your pet's favorite position, because that decides whether a round or flat bed will suit them better.
Step 2: Measure your pet
Measure from the nose to the base of the tail while your pet is lying in their usual sleeping position. Then add a few centimeters so there is room to move.
Step 3: Match the measurement to the bed
Curled-up sleepers usually like a round bed with a raised rim to lean against. Stretch-out sleepers need a flat bed that is long enough for their full length. If your pet is between two sizes, choose the larger one.
Step 4: Think about the floor and the room
A bed with an anti-slip base stays put on smooth floors. Check the product page for exact sizes, and compare them with the space you have.
